Gemma Sutton - BUWFC President

After playing for over 10 years at home, I came to Freshers Fayre searching for a football team.

I instantly liked the challenge of training, and learned to play in a new defensive position. Socially, I was pleased to be able to go out with the team and join in with uni life.

Kelly Evans - BUWFC Social Secretary

I joined the team during my second year at the University of Bradford as I had always intended on playing football again after playing for a few junior teams several years ago.

Being apart of the team has allowed me to mix with people from other courses, make new friends and improve my fitness. Playing a sport at university is an excellent way to take a break from coursework and revision, and it has been a great way to relieve stress.

Misbah Ahmed

I joined the team in September 2015 and I have been part of the team for 3 years. My motivation for joining the Bradford university women's football team significantly surrounded the passion I had with the sport throughout my life.

Being able to play sport alongside my degree was a bonus and gave me a chance to play regularly which strengthened my passion to join. One of the good experiences I have had whilst being part of the team was the 6-0 varsity win last year.

Angel Thorpe

I joined the University of Bradford's Women's Football Team in my second year because I wanted to continue playing after being a member of the University of Lincoln's team.
